Sean Brock Is Writing a Cookbook All About Husk

Through his first cookbook, Heritage, chef Sean Brock managed to accomplish something quite rare: He earned widespread critical acclaim — winning the James Beard Foundation Award for “Best Book in American Cooking,” and placing second in Food52’s Piglet challenge — and also sold a whole lot of copies (83,000 are in print, after five printings). It makes sense, then, that he’d write a follow-up, and Artisan has announced that it’s Husk, focusing on his smash-hit restaurant with locations in Nashville and Charleston. Further details are scarce at the moment, but it’ll be released in 2018, and “Brock will share recipes that range from his personal interpretations of classic Southern dishes to his new favorites.” Does that mean fried chicken with six fats?
